Biography

Emma Beemer is the undergraduate academic advisor for students with last names starting with H through O in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC), an academic unit within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). She helps students build course schedules, plan for timely degree completion, and explore all academic options including extracurricular activities, study abroad programs, research, and internships. She is also the club advisor for the Global Health Student Association. Prior to joining SHESC, Emma worked with First Year Programs in the CLAS Dean's Office, coordinating New Student Orientations and First Year Success Seminars. Within higher education, Emma’s passions center on the first year experience, and more specifically, the first year transition.
