Elissa Shapiro provides undergraduate academic advising for students in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC), an academic unit in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Prior to her appointment with SHESC, Elissa worked as a College Registrar for a local Arizona College. She has over 15 years of experience in the education field, with positions ranging from Admissions/Enrollment Advisor, Academic Counselor, Faculty Services Manager, and most recently College Registrar for two campuses. Her passion is working directly with students as an Academic Advisor because she loves to help students achieve their academic goals and dreams. Elissa is originally from Long Island, New York and has lived in Phoenix for the past 16 years. In her spare time, Elissa enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family… and her dog, Toby.
