Dimitra Varvarezou is a doctoral student of Sociocultural
Anthropology.She conducted fieldwork research among the Dineh (Navajo)
on their perceptions of disability with the support of the Greek State
Scholarships Foundation (2009-2012). She continues this project. She
earned her B.A in History-Archaeology-Social Anthropology, with a
specialization in Social Anthropology, from the University of
Thessaly, Volos, Greece. She also has a Masters in Cross-Cultural
Research Methods (C.C.R.M) in Anthropology, from the University of Sussex.

Research Interests

Medical anthropology; Disability studies; Anthropology of Violence;
Gender Studies.
