Dimitra Varvarezou is a doctoral candidate of Sociocultural Anthropology.She has conducted fieldwork research that explores social perceptions of physical disability among Diné (Navajo) individuals and non-Indigenous service providers. Her graduate studies have been supported by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (2009-2012), while her doctoral research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF DDRIG). She earned her B.A in History-Archaeology-Social Anthropology, with a specialization in Social Anthropology, from the University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece. She also has a Masters in Cross-Cultural Research Methods (C.C.R.M) in Anthropology, from the University of Sussex.
