Biography

I was born and raised just north of San Francisco, in California's
Wine Country. I double majored in Evolutionary Anthropology and
Classic Civilizations at the University of California, Davis, where I
graduated in 2009. I went on to earn my MA in Anthropology at the
University of Central Florida in 2012, studying bioarchaeology under
Dr. Tosha Dupras. I entered SHESC's doctoral program in 2012, in the
bioarchaeology approach.

Research Interests

My research foci are in the ancient Mediterranean and North Africa,
particularly the Nile Valley. I am interested in juvenile osteology,
childhood morbidity and mortality, and age as an aspect of social
identity. I am also interested in the application of isotopic analyses
as a tool in bioarchaeological research.
