The field school is directed jointly by Steve Swanson, Margaret Nelson and Karen Schollmeyer. Nelson is a president’s professor at Arizona State University; Swanson and Schollmeyer conducted their dissertation research in Mimbres archaeology. A staff of experienced graduate students assists the project directors. The staff to student ratio is very high (approximately 1:3), and students receive a great deal of individual attention and hands-on experience.
