Jane Buikstra, a professor of bioarchaeology in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change, is poised to receive two major awards in recognition of her profound achievements in the field of anthropology.

 School of Human Evolution and Social Change graduate student George (PJ) Perry is featured in the Dec. 9, 2007, edition of The New York Times Magazine. The article, titled "Starch Made Us Human," highlights a paper published in the September issue of Nature Genetics that was authored by Perry and anthropology Professor Anne Stone of ASU, Professor Nathaniel Dominy of the University of California, Santa Cruz, and their colleagues.
