ASM 591 Archaeological Pollen Analysis (3 credits)
This course introduces students to pollen research within an archaeological context. Students will learn the pollen research process from beginning to end: collecting field samples, laboratory processing and analysis, and interpreting individual samples and sample columns. Course instruction will include lectures, discussion and directed hands-on field and laboratory work. Each student will conduct an independent research project.
