Dean's Circle

Each spring semester the School of Human Evolution and Social Change chooses one of its majors to receive the Dean’s Circle Scholarship. Students are chosen to apply for this scholarship through faculty nomination. Once a student is nominated, he or she will receive an application packet. To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must:

  • be an undergraduate with a declared major in anthropology, global health or applied math for the life and social sciences;
  • be enrolled full time (at least 12 hours) as a declared major in anthropology, global health or applied math for the life and social sciences;
  • maintain full-time enrollment;
  • have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

There is no residency requirement.

Students in a concurrent degree program may be a candidate in both departments.  However, a student may accept only one Dean’s Circle Scholarship.

Students interested in this scholarship should discuss the possibilities of being nominated with faculty they know well.
